Maejo University, Chiang Mai, is pleased to announce that it will serve as the official host of the 51st University Games of Thailand – INTHANIN GAMES 2026. The identity of this major sporting event reflects the spirit of unity, creativity, and sustainability, aligning with Maejo University’s long-standing dedication to academic excellence, athletic development, and environmental stewardship.
The official emblem of the competition is inspired by the Inthanin flower (Queen’s Crape Myrtle), the symbolic bloom of Maejo University. Representing strength, perseverance, and grace, the Inthanin flower is known for its vibrant presence across Thailand. The emblem thoughtfully integrates the flower’s distinctive form with the event title, INTHANIN GAMES 2026, using harmonious shades of green and lilac to convey growth, vitality, and the spirit of unity among universities nationwide.
Complementing the emblem is the official mascot, “Nong Inthanin”, a cheerful and energetic character proudly carrying the torch of sportsmanship. “Nong Inthanin” symbolizes the flame of friendship, creativity, and sustainable development — values that embody the aspirations of today’s student-athletes. With its friendly and optimistic appearance, the mascot is designed to inspire cooperation, enthusiasm, and a sense of camaraderie throughout the games.
