A dinner reception recently hosted on January 12, 2020 to welcome all AU athletes was presided over by Rev. Bro. Dr. Sirichai Fanseka, Vice President for Student Affairs at Tara Grand Hotel,
Pathum Thani province. The participants comprised of more than 100 athletes from 18 sport teams together with AU Student Affairs administrators. The opening address emphasized the university’s objective in using sports as a tool for learning & self-development and becoming valuable players through rigorous practice. This remarkable speech was also highlighted stressing on dedication, self discipline and continual training, honor, best efforts during the games, respect to other players; and thus upholding the concept “AUnity Sporting Spirit”
During such a warm and friendly reception, an achievement congratulations on the first 3 medals was addressed to Mr. Chokchai Meechokchai, an Equestrian, a junior student of Martin De Tours School of Management and Economics for his gold medal of 40 K.M. Marathon Equestrian as well as two more Bronze medals from Jumping Equestrian and Karate-Do: Men-Kumite with the weight not exceeding to 67 kg. Congratulations to Ms. Sunsinee Thaicharoen, a jumping Equestrian, a junior student of Martin De Tours School of Management and Economics and Mr. Patanin Vongsa-nga, a Karate-Do athlete, a junior student of Martin De Tours School of Management and Economics respectively.
Moreover, Assumption University Student Organization (AUSO) provide an electrolytes drinks to all athletes as morale support on behalf of AU students.
On this special occasion, a group of supporting personnel comprising of team managers, coaches/trainers, assistant coaches, physical therapy experts and masseur group was officially recognized during their introduction followed by a group photo with Student Affairs’ administrators and staff. Those supporting personnel group was a professional that were selected by Assumption University to provide intense training, monitoring and necessary welfare to AU athletes under safety condition and readiness for competition.
