Assumption University officially participated in the opening ceremony of the 51st Thailand University Games, known as INTHANIN GAMES 2026, held at Maejo University, Chiang Mai, from 9–19 January 2026.
The university delegation was led by Acting Sub Lt. Dr. Yuttana Suwannathan, Vice President for Student Affairs, together with university executives, lecturers, officials, and student-athletes, marking Assumption University’s formal presence at this prestigious national multi-sport event.
The 51st Thailand University Games is regarded as the highest-level national sporting festival for university students in Thailand. This year’s edition features 110 higher education institutions nationwide, competing across 40 sports disciplines, showcasing athletic excellence, teamwork, and competitive spirit on a grand scale.
INTHANIN GAMES 2026 is organized under the concept “Spirit | Smart | Sport | Sustainability,” emphasizing sportsmanship, creative thinking, youth development, and the cultivation of social responsibility alongside athletic performance. The Games also adopt a Low Carbon Model, aiming to reduce environmental impact and promote sustainability awareness, particularly among Gen Z students and young athletes.
The participation of Assumption University’s administrators, faculty members, and athletes reflects the institution’s strong commitment to holistic student development through national-level sporting activities. Such platforms play a vital role in fostering physical fitness, unity, discipline, ethics, and true sportsmanship.
