It was the grand opening of the 47th Thailand University Games “ the Sun Games” at Rangsit University led by Dr.Suwit Mesinsee,

the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Ministry. The opening ceremony highlights were the performance “The Sun and Galaxy” and athletes parade processions from all institutions. AU athletes parade procession comprised of Golf players and Bridge players led by a golf player as a flag holder, Mr. Thitchapat  Sumpaongern, a senior student of Martin De Tours School of Management and Economics.

Moreover, the handing on ceremony to the coming host “from Rangsit to Udon Thani” together with the wonderful performance from Rajabhat Udon Thani University, the next host of the 48th Thailand University Games was also conducted.

The opening ceremony was ended with the concert from Pramote Pathan.

As a esenyurt escort host, Rangsit University initiated the concept of indoor premise instead of outdoor premise for organizing the grand opening. On this special occasion, there were more than 120 institutions, 43 sport competitions and about 25,000 athletes. Assumption University also sent 110 athletes from 18 sport teams led by A.Nukul Chaisuriya, the Head of AU athletes. The Sun Games will last from January 10 – 19, 2020.
